Out of 1.7 million people employed in the NHS, Dr Mohamed Sakel, Director for Neuro-rehabilitation Service in East Kent has been awarded recognition for being a Top NHS Star Leader. This once in a life-time recognition Award comes from a wide number of colleagues across the Trust and beyond, who voted to support his nomination for recognition as a world changing, inspirational leader.
The top 70 NHS “Standout stars” were then publicly unveiled during an Awards celebration ceremony at the NHS Confederation National Conference Meeting in Manchester on Thursday June 14th 2018. Dr Sakel was invited to attend the ceremony and was presented with his Award, which recognises his exceptional contribution to the NHS and wider health and care sector and patient and service user care.
